Friendly, Comfortable, Affordable Personally I loved this Hostel, I stayed in a six-bed mixed dorm that was comfortable and clean. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and bend over backwards to help with anything. There are no annoying deposits to pay and the kitchen has everything you would ever need. There is a good TV room and book exchange, internet, payphone, laundry, and swimming pool. They organised a day trip to Uluru with Emu Run Tours for me and it was absolutely brilliant. It was so homey that I stayed three nights instead of two even though I really didn't have time! I can't recommend this hostel enough it has been my favourite in Australia. — Sophie , British (2009-09-18)
Not a good experience. I slept one night at the decorated camping trailer. The room was exceptionally small and I could hear what people in the other room were doing and what they were talking about. this can give you an image of the walls' quality. The overall cleanliness standards were below average. — Maria , Spain (2009-02-09)

I really did appreciate the friendliness of the whole staff. It made me feel at home at the other side of the world and Ian was really wonderful confirming my other hostel for me. Nice place and in a good position too. I really did enjoyed my stay at Alices Secret. — Bianca Miledi Battistello (2006-11-15)

This is a really nice place to stay. They arranged a really nice atmosphere with their common room and kitchen. You can have cornflakes and milk and tea all day long. It's a bit familiar and you have great opportunities to relax in the very nice new swimming pool or in the hamocks. The rooms are clean and they knwo a lot people, which could help to find a job. They've got a great pick up and drop off service, even to the train station (the ghan). One of the best hostels I stayed in because of the very friendly staff. — Julia April 2006 (2006-08-07)

The double rooms are spacious, and have heaters in them, which definitely helped at night. There is a TV room with a good selection of videos to watch, and a shelf of books that help to pass time. The kitchen is a good size as long as there's not too many people cooking at the same time — although the oven was a bit dodgy. It felt a bit like a caravan park, because you have to go outside to go to the toilet/shower, which isn't the nicest of things to do when it's freezing! However, there is a bathroom indoors, which a lot of people use instead. There's not a great deal to do in Alice Springs, so most people don't stay very long, which makes this place ok to spend a couple of nights. — Anon (2005-09-02)

Everything a small hostel should be! Friendly, comfortable and very chilled out. Loads of things to do...love the badminton court and table tennis...and Julia and Ian are the best of hosts. — Lane Thomas (2005-04-02)
