Located in the heart of New Lanark World Heritage Site 'Wee Row' provides a unique hostel experience nestled in the spectacular South Lanarkshire Valley in Southern Scotland. Popular with individuals, families, school parties and groups there is a wide selection of things to do on our doorstep. With a choice of room types all with ensuites, we offer good quality budget accommodation within an historic building. There is also a well equipped self catering kitchen for guests to make use of including a comfortable dining area.

Only one hour drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Wee Row Hostel is the perfect base to explore these popular cities but you don't have to go far to find plenty to do. On our doorstep is the award winning New Lanark Visitor Centre where you can step back in time and rediscover life of this working Mill village. Explore the industrial heritage, pick up a gift in the Mill Shop, have lunch in the Mill Cafe, play in the park or simply take a seat by the waterwheel and soak up the history of this magnificent 18th century cotton mill village. There's so many things for everyone to do.

New Lanark is also a perfect stop over for those cycling Lands End to John O' Groats and the village marks the end of the popular Clyde Walkway which runs from Glasgow city centre to the heart of New Lanark. A must see are the Famous Falls of Clyde with its multitude of waterfalls surrounded by natural woodland. Take a walk up the board walk to the falls and you're sure to spot an abundance of wildlife including badgers, squirrels and peregrine falcons. New Lanark makes for a pefect getaway suitable for all ages, interests and budgets

New Lanark, by Lanark, is around an hour’s drive from Glasgow (25 miles/40 kms) or Edinburgh (35 miles/56 Kms) and is well sign-posted from all major routes. We feature on the brown tourist information signs on both the M74 and M8 Motorways as New Lanark World Heritage Site. Follow these signs until you reach the town of Lanark. Continue to follow the brown tourist information signs as you go through Lanark. These signs will bring you to Braxfield Road. Follow this road until you arrive at the roundabout. Take the first exit off the roundabaout. You will then see in front of you a large white sign 'Welcome to New Lanark World Heritage Site'. Opposite this sign you will see a junction on the right hand side with a signpost stating 'Restricted Access'. Please take the road on the right hand side next to the restriced access signpost. This road will take you into New Lanark Village. When you reach the village, take a sharp right just before the red telephone box on the right hand side. Proceed along the private gravel road and Wee Row is on the left.
