My stay in Trippy's was one of the most memorable of my whole year in Central America. The staff were extremely friendly and I especially enjoyed the kitchen facilities. The communal factor was very enjoyable, and was something that I did not find in any of the other hostels in San Pedro. Thank you Trippy's.

Like the name implies, Trippy's creates an environment hospitable to interplanetary (or just interplanar) travelers. As if lago atitlan wasn't psychadelically beautiful enough, Trippy's serene environment is generally chock-full of engaging travelers passing through for a week or longer. And why shouldn't they stay for a spell? With a magnetic pagoda-like layout guaranteed to have visitors splayed out on cushions until the cows come home (or they run out of weed), Trippy's is an easy-come, easy-go sort of place. Guests can get a tastefully decorated private room with colored lights in a minimalist atmosphere, or a dorm-style set-up for a lower price. Highly recommended, in any case, and set just far enough away from the center of San Pedro so as to ensure a good night's sleep without being too far to stumble off in search of the action.

I loved the atmosphere. This was my favorite accommodation while I was in Guatemala.
