TAURANGA CENTRAL BACKPACKERS is a new, clean, spacious hostel, opened in 2002. We offer singles, doubles, twins, 4,6 and 8 bed dorms are our speciality.The backpacker is equiped with a modern kitchen, large comfortable TV lounge and full laundry facilities. We have unlimited hot water showers.
On our doorstep: Bus terminal, Visitor Centre,Cafes and Restaurants as well as Night Clubs and Bars.
Furthermore Bay of Plenty offers a lot of attractions and we encourage and are more than happy to book activities for our customers:swimming with dolphins, rafting, etc...

Keep up with the good work. — Carole , France (2011-09-23) Don't go there We stayed there one week to find a job. Firstly when we saw our room we thought: it's dirty; the carpet is not done at all. Our bed were dirty and smelly, there was hairs and dust on. It was winter time when we were there, and the air conditioning was working ... but it was freezing air ! My boyfriend had a big allergy because of the dust in our room, the manager vacuumed our room but it was like he did nothing, so he sprayed the carpet with a product for all kind of cleaning but it didn't work, he told us he would rent a special machine for carpet but he didn't. The kitchen is dirty as well, there 's only two table and few chairs to eat. There 's not enough cutlery and mostly the pots don't have handle and the managers don't know how to use the oven. In men's bathroom it's flooded after having a shower, but the manager told us men were playing with water ... The manager helps backpackers to find a job, this is what he did, but after one day of work we realized the contractor was doing illegal stuff ... About security, there's camera operating but the front door is never locked up. The two managers our kind but, they also lie and to us, they don't know how to run a backpacker ... — Anonymous , france (2011-06-30)
