Pension Bledec, tucked amidst the quaint little resort town of Bled, is the type of place you plan on staying at for only two nights but end up staying almost a week. The hostel is easy to find; it's only a few hundred meters from the bus station, and signs point the way up the hill.
The hostel itself is great. The decore is a little outdated, but the rooms are clean and spacious and the bathrooms are emaculate, providing a wonderful shower with plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Linens are provided, as is a clean towel on your bed when you arrive back at the hostel every evening.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They can arrange tours of the surrounding areas, will help with your laundry, and are available for any questions or concerns. That said, the man that works behind the desk during the graveyard shift seems very grumpy, but you will only run into him if coming back in the wee hours of the morning.
There is a common area with satellite TV and some games, but it seems to be used only moderately. There is also a computer with Internet access for 500 SIT per hour.
Breakfast is included in the price and consists of meat, cheese, cereal, bread, and coffee. Breakfast was great except for the coffee, which tasted horrible. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner throughout the rest of the day. The prices are not cheap (about average compared to the rest of town), but the atmosphere is excellent and it provides a great evening common area where other hostel-goers hang out, drink wine, and share stories. It's a very chill environment, and surprisingly, a very social hostel.
