Description
Sazie Hostel is in the middle of the university town of Santiago and it is next to the most central metro station, 'Los Heroes', which is a 2 minute walk from the hostel.

The hostel is a 3-storey house with French style architecture, located in a neighbourhood where, for the first half of the 20th Century, the Chilean aristocratic society lived.

Today this area has been re-energised by the lives of university students as most of the universities are situated here and, as a result the locality is full of restaurants, pubs, theatres and a feel-good atmosphere.

Hear you find share rooms and private rooms, broadband internet, cable TV, DVD player, common areas to share with other travellers, a terrace and very clean bathrooms.

Your hosts are a Chilean family who will help you to plan your activities in the city or country and who will care for your security and comfort while you stay in our house.

4 Nice place. The owners/staff were very friendly and the location is a short walk to one of the main metro interchanges and 20 minutes walk from the centre. The hostel is in a studenty area with some nice buildings around so it has a nice safe feel about it. The room we had was big and clean as is the main dining/common room with TV and Internet (slow mail). Bathrooms could do with a lick of paint but were clean with good showers.

5 This is a wonderful place for those who don't want to stay in crowded hostel with loads of other backpackers. The family who runs it is very friendly, exceedingly helpful and extremely patient with those trying to learn Spanish. The two sons of the family also speak excellent English. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Santiago. It's very central, just around the corner from the Metro and buses and is reasonably priced. I've also enjoyed sitting around in the kitchen chatting or going out on the town with some of the Chilean students who live in the hostel permanently. I would give it 6 stars if I could.
