Sherwood Forest Hostel is situated right on the edge of the historic forest, renowned for Robin Hood and his Merry Men.
Close to the village of Edwinstowe in Nottinghamshire, the Hostel is a pleasant oasis in the English countryside. The decor blends in perfectly with the woodland surroundings. The interior is filled with wood and green paintwork, giving one the forest feeling.
The welcome is warm and the staff pleasant and efficient.
The rooms are all individually named, e.g. "Friar Tuck". "Little John" etc. adding to the general Robin Hood atmosphere.
The 2- bed rooms have en suite bathrooms. Cleanliness is good and linen clean and fresh.
The Members' Kitchen is well equipped, with meals being optional extras. The dining area is spacious and clean. An upstairs TV lounge is cosy and homely.
The Hostel makes for a pleasant overnight - or longer - stay.
