Blue Mountains Backpacker Hostel opened for business May 2009.

It is a large hostel with 130 beds. Close to the train station (250m away).

Included in accommodation is bedding and linen, use of kitchen and BBQ facilities, free internet and laundry, free on street parking.

This hostel is horrible. We were told that it was $25 per night for a 6-bed dorm but when we got there it was $30 for a 10 bed! The rooms and bathrooms were dirty. The kitchen shuts at 8.30pm and reopens any time after 8.30am. It was after 9am when it opened during our stay. There are no cups -- staff said they had all been stolen or broken. There are no carpets in the building and it is SO noisy. The doors slam all night and early morning. Oh, and there was no lock on our door and one of the lads had his camera and MP3 player stolen! — Charlotte and Olly (2007-01-04)
