Good advice, alright place The staff were very helpful! They gave us coupons for free stuff around town (booze and food) and gave us good advice on what we should do while staying in Sydney. The place was alright. My dorm was kind of yucky (stained walls, broken window), however the bathroom was very clean. You cannot really cook in the kitchen (situated in a little closed up area on the roof) and the table is outdoors. The breakfast was very basic, but hey it was free. The common area is very small also. However if the weather is nice the rooftop is amazing! OK, some people complain about the kitchen; OK, some people complain about the dorms; but it is very clean and the friendly, and the helpful staff make up for all else. The only drawback was that one of the windows was broken and it took them ages to fix it, and the kitchen was pretty dirty. Too many Dutch people (hostel is affiliated with a Dutch travel organization) and a small, messy kitchen. I also thought the dorms were too big (10-12 beds), very uncomfortable matresses and not very clean either.
