Beyond words We have never ever experienced such an unbelievably dirty, filthy hostel or place in our lives! We were absolutely disgusted and offended with the state of the place and cannot believe that it is actually open to the public! To be quite honest its not a surprise that they have no refunds, as displayed behind the counter, as i am quite certain they would have no custom otherwise. The showers are black holes in the wall, that i dont think it is possible to come out clean from! There are suspicious squeaks and be careful not to get caught in one of the many holes in the floor. The sinks and toilets are beyond description and the staff are intimidating and arrogant and hateful. The place gave me the creeps and had an overall dirty feeling and needless to say we did not spend long there -- we forfeited €70 rather than spend even one night there. To say there are much better hostels on Dublin is an understatement. I would quicker sleep on the streets of Dublin than stay in that hovel! As a final warning i would like to advise people to always check accommodation before they book or pay! I hope i have got across how horrendous and revolting that dump actually is but i dont think my words even come close. Steer clear. — Michelle and Andrea , Irish/Ireland (2009-03-08)
Dump Single Shower down the basement. Abysmally kept. Same owners as the dump a few doors down the street. — henry_hl , Kraut (2008-12-28)
An absoulte joke! The staff were rude, we didnt get pillow cases since they lock the laundry at 6pm. The rooms make you want to vomit, there was hair covering the walls of the bathroom. NEVER STAY HERE!!! — Tourists in Dublin , Australia (2008-10-19)

Excellent hostel Great location, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Myself and my friends would definitely stay here again. — Carol , USA (2007-10-21)
This hostel is the most disgusting place which I have ever stayed in. The smell hits you as soon as you walk in and the rooms are absolutely filthy. On making a complaint, we were subjected to a mouthful of abuse from both the manager and his receptionist. Never stay here. — Glasgow Girls (2007-01-26)

We stayed 3 nights in this hostel and is really good. Not too far from grafton street, warm beds, very well equipped kitchen, very friendly and helpful staff, clean showers and toilets. the bad things about it, are on a big noisy street, no breakfast included. but thats all i can think of in the moment. — Lisa (2006-08-13)

Its clean and the showers were fine, but hopefully it won't be humid in Dublin, because it got pretty stuffy in our room. Just be warned, too -- its quite a journey to get to your room (lots of steps and no lift) but the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is good enough. — robina (2006-06-16)

i lived here for nine months and i was woken up at all hours of the morning in an eighteen-bed hostel for that period. to be honest i did enjoy and i do miss it. — luke (2006-03-22)

I visited this hostel for 17 days and it is actually the best place to live in Dublin. — Esperanza (2005-02-03)

Seriously, where else will you find a super clean and cheap place to stay with a TV in each room? This hostel has a really nice staff, well-equipped kitchen and dining room, and it's in a great location. I highly recommend this hostel! — Anonymous (2004-11-23)
