5  Home from Home We love it. Seventeen of us visited in 2006 for the first time in Austria. it was a winter wonderland. we had a warm welcome from Gerhard, Nathan, and Gus. we had a ball and the parties went on to the wee small hours. We then returned this year again with some new friends and again nothing was to much trouble for our friend -- everything was great. Myself and one off the girls took a walk into town where we had a look around and a few beers. Then it got dark so taxi back for us just in time for Dinner and a fave Austrian Rum and coke. As a result we have all booked up to go again 2008 and so excited just can't wait.  , Scotland ()
5  I visited this place in February for some snowboarding. GREAT staff, and the place is so homely. The lift and ski fields are just across the street. The slopes in this area are not so overrun. Together with the family atmosphere in the hostel, it was a relaxed holiday. I will definitely be back next year!  ()
5  The owner and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home in their home. A free pick-up from the train station and a friendly hello go a long way. The dinner offered is excellent and quite a value for the money (€7 as of April 2005) with a salad, soup or fruit bowl and the main course. All rooms have a shower with hot water and a toilet. The beds are comfy as well with large pillows. Rent a bike for the day (€8) and go to the Almsee, only a two-hour ride away. Relax at night and have a drink with the locals in the hostel's two bars, or just watch a movie or two in the TV room. The atmosphere is great. The scenery is outstanding and the service is without question. You feel like you're staying at a relative's home rather than a hostel.  ()
5  This place has nice and comfortable beds, friendly staff, hot showers, a great breakfast buffet and good dinner — and last but not least it's so wonderfully near the gondola to the ski fields. I just came back from a week's snowboarding holiday and I assure you, there's no better place. The ski fields are not the biggest in Austria, but to my surprise they are definitely more extensive than I thought. They have great runs at all levels, wide slopes good for boarders, sun, snow and amazing scenery. I love the place. Oh, let me not forget: I found friends in an instant in the nice communal areas. I will be back. Promise.  ()
5  Although this is not a five-star hotel, the people are great, the country is gorgeous and I can't seem to stop myself coming back. I've been to bigger, "better" skiing areas, but none had hotels quite as nice as this one. It's just the atmosphere, I guess.  ()
