The Hostelz.com Review
The sleeping area of this hostel is one big room (converted from a gym). That may sound like a lot of fun or a nightmare depending on your sleeping preferences. It's divided off into sections with sheets. The bathrooms are upstairs with the guys are girls bathrooms on separate floors. There aren't a lot frills at this one. There is no hot water and they don't give you a pillow. The location is nice, it's located on the edge of a park near the center of the city. It's open only during the summer.

Great place to meet interesting people. Cheap. Not so great place to sleep though. The public area and bar always have someone who is in for a talk, drink, or whatever. There is an obvious huge lack of privacy in the gym/dorm, but the good side of this is that you get easily to know your (usually very friendly) fellow neighbour backpackers. I have witnessed twice to people having sex, but i was doing it myself too, so can't whine on this. All members of the staff have always been very friendly, helpful, and good company (also always in for a drink). The big boss is a guy called Honza who looks as if he came out of a comic strip. Ahoy Honza! The location is fine. Safe area also at night, and a nice park behind the hostel. Check out the "Club Ujezd," and Bohemian Bagel, both are just across the street! If you want to remember your stay in Prague, this will be your hostel. — Fernando , Italy (2007-05-09)

This is the best place to stay in Prague. Fact! It has a top location and cheap drinks. Ignore the dodgy-looking "dorm" and just enjoy yourself with the other guests and staff. If you like a good sleep, don't book here, though! — pabloq (2005-01-16)

Excellent in the sense of how much fun I had here. I spent three nights while interailing and had the best time - great location, cheap booze, friendly staff and people, safe storage for valuables. I thought it was an absolute bargain for what we paid. — Cat (2004-02-25)

I had such a great time there last summer. The tennis court was fun, the location sublime and the people were so cool!!! — T. Mark (2003-07-18)
I reached Prague in the pouring rain, I was drenched when I reached this hostel. The place is a gymnastics school during term time, so it has crazy kiddy pictures on the walls. You are sleeping head to foot with your fellow hikers in a dorm of about 40 other people. The place smells of absynthe and garlic. If this is your idea of hostelling fun, go for it. Don't let this stop you finding another one, this place is a dive. — miket@lonelyplanetexchange.com (2002-12-20)
