Amazing We arrived at the port at 6am and was not expecting someone to go so much out of their way to only pick up me and my husband but the staff did! They went out of their way always to help us set up excursions and have a relaxing time. We stayed longer because we were having such a good time. They even let guests use the facilities of their other property which is very very nice and they have a private beach with free chairs. We did not expect so much for our money and will be back very soon. — Annabella , Italy (2009-06-05)
Very disappointing...and deceptive. This hostel is actually the same place as the Pink Palace. I planned to stay for five nights, and stayed for one instead. Sorry guys, but you get the thumbs down from me and the crew. Thanks for the 3-euro charge to take us back to the port, too. — T. Magee (2005-10-24)

I had a vacation within my vacation in this cozy hostel. It's a great place to stay, situated on the most beautiful spot of the island. If you are looking for a good meal and a clean place, go here. From my room I had the best beach view, and saw some amazing sunsets. Meals are included in the price of the room. They also have a 24-hour bar with a large variety of cocktails at very low prices. Food is also inexpensive, and their meals were huge. It is a very good value for the money. The best thing is that they also provide free transport from the port and back. While in Corfu make sure you visit the castle on the south part of the island, not far from where the hostel is. And definitely visit the monastery of Paleokastritsa. I took wonderful photos there. — Marko Romero, Mexico (2004-09-14)

A very clean, relaxing, and friendly hostel. It has great rooms with sea views and fantastic sunsets. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. I met a lot of other travellers. I went for 2 nights and ended up staying for 9 days. It is a heaven on earth. I recommend it to anyone who wants to chill out, relax, and experience local hospitality. — Marisa Sao Paolo Brazil (2004-09-13)

Backpacker's Haven was the highlight of our trip. We were there for five days and loved everything about it. A wonderful breakfast and three-course dinner were included in the price, all for 20 euros. They picked us up from the port; the hostel is situated on a beautiful sandy beach and near a little traditional Greek town with lots of nice inexpensive little tavernas and local stores. The rooms were very clean and had a fantastic beach view. We ended up staying for five days instead of three. Once you are there it is hard to leave. The staff take such good care of you, and we were having so much fun, meeting and making a lot of new friends. The food was great; make sure you try their moussaka and homemade baklava. We rented quads for the day and saw the whole island. The place is nice and relaxing; it is a great gateway if you want to just enjoy the beach and have a relaxing and quiet holiday. — Cythia and Amanda, San Diego, Ca (2004-09-05)
