Steve, the owner of the Historic Wood-Foote Hostel, was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We had a nice, clean room with freshly washed linens. He gave us directions to restaurants and beaches in the area. My beautiful son, Taylor, and I shared an extra special time there together in the Summer of 2004. I will never forget it.

The Wood-Foote Hostel is a FABULOUS place to stay if you're looking for a classic, historic hostel a couple of blocks away from the heart of a true Maine village. Steve, the owner, was amazing and accommodating. The entire place is very clean and felt like home the entire time I was there. In fact, I ended up increasing my stay because it is in such a central location to so many things (Boston, Boothbay Harbor, Kennebunkport, Ogunquit....). I'll definitely be returning!
