5  Lovely I had read plenty of bad reviews beforehand so I was a little worried about visiting, especially as it was so hard to check beforehand that it still existed. However i couldn't have been happier, the bus stopped right outside it and there were plenty of rooms free. I got a room to myself with two beds and a balcony. The man is a bit old and so that seems to be where some of the negative reviews come from, he is a little stuck in his ways, but that also means the room was only 10 euros. The curfew sounds annoying but there is no where to go in the town past 11 so you won't notice. He runs it with a nurse that helps him look after his sick wife and she is the friendliest woman you will ever meet! I was brought watermelons and frappes just out of kindness, and especially for someone traveling alone they were interesting to talk to and like a home away from home. Maybe it is the nurses influence but the place was spotless when I got there and remained so the whole time I was there. No cockroaches.  , Glasgow ()
1  I would like to say that I am not that picky. I have been to many hostels in Europe and had almost entirely good experiences, but this is by far the worst. Yes this place is cheap, but you get even less then you pay for. I stayed there with two other girls in the Spring of 2005. There were four cockroaches in our room which we saw and all of them were between two and three inches in length (I am not exaggerating at all). We couldn't leave after eleven because there is a curfew and they only offered hot showers for a couple of hours a day. It was awful especially since the hotels nearby are cheap enough to stay in for just a few more dollars.  ()
2  There's nowhere else to stay, so you might as well stay here -- but do so for as short a period of time as possible. It's clean enough, but the staff is a wee bit on the grouchy side and you feel more like you're in a boarding school than a hostel.  ()
3  classic hostel in the main street.. great location.. run by a family... husband and wife with grandma as well... dont drink booze heer they will freak out... at 10 euro a night though worth it unless you want to sleep in a tent... a must see town.. the home of the olympics..  ()
