I love it here. Very, very clean. Nice people, and a fantastic location. The facilities were top-notch, and felt more like a little hotel than a hostel. It's a really laid back area, and so it is a great place to relax. I would recommend renting a car in Honolulu and driving up. I took the bus from the airport and it took hours. Take a trip to the Malaekahana Recreation area and beach. It's so beautiful and not very crowded.

I highly recommend this place! The owners are super nice! It's $30 US a night for the shared four-bunk room and more for private rooms, but it's MUCH cleaner and nicer than other hostels. It has spacious, bright rooms, and an AMAZING garden surrounds the deck and courtyards. It's very quiet; the ocean sounds like it's crashing at your window (but not too loudly!) It's about an hour's walk (been there, done that, don't recommend it) to Backpackers Hostel or a quick hop on the bus. I highly recommend a vehicle when you're up north as Haleiwa is not within walking distance. Buses run every 30 minutes. If you're looking for more bang for your buck, I recommend Paumale Hale. What can I say? I loved it.
