I was in Malaga last year and stayed in Roaming Bull for 3 nights. Great staff, great view, clean kitchen, nice terrace, ... all the best! i had great fun there! Thanks!!!

Definitely a heavy party spot, for sure! The staff are very, very friendly. An up and downside is that they party with you, or without you. It can be a wee bit unorganized at times, and definitely overpriced. It's on top of a huge-arse hill that is a killer walk up! Don't agree to sleep on the terrace; it's great at night, but when the sun hits you in the a.m. you will want to die! All and all a wicked place to stay if you want to party with cool people, but not if you want to sleep.

This hostel overcharged my credit card for two extra nights and it has taken over two months of runaround to get a hold of anyone to fix it. I am still in contact with them but I am not sure if I can and will get my money back. DON'T STAY HERE.

I've stayed in this hostel for one night only. It was really clean and cosy. It's close to the beach in a good neighbourhood and you have a great view from the roof top terrace. The owner was really helpful and friendly, too, and the guests were nice. But the hostel is about 20 minutes away from the city center (bus trip) and the dorms are tiny! And if you're allergic to dogs (like me) be aware: There is a dog in the common room and kitchen and the owner won't put him away if you ask for that.

A wonderful view of the beach, a very, very, very relaxed atmosphere and the coolest people you can find around on your travels. Also, the managers and the cute dog complete the most delicious and mad place I've been in a long time.

AMAZING PLACE!! I landed here straight from Sweden, got into the hostel (it's a guesthouse, really) and looked like I hadn't even left home. I was a part of the family in 30 seconds and 5 minutes more and I was being asked out with some guys also staying there. The people running the place are very cool, and it sure looks like you're at some friend's house. It's not in downtown Malaga, you have to get a bus that takes some 15 minutes to get there, but the beach is just some minutes downhill, and the bars there are very cool. I LOVED this place, and I hope I can get back.

This place is difficult to get to — you take a bus then walk up hill. There are numerous other options that are more central, as opposed to staying in a residential area. The owners are nice but the place is just too small — it's basically a three-bedroom condo used as a hostel. The coffee is filtered (which isn't free) and they charge for sheets. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

I'm glad I took a cab to get there! The hill is steep, and with my bags I would've been crazy to do it on foot. But then, the place is just marvelous, a wonderful terrace to look at the city and the sea. Victoria and Paulo are just the funniest hostel owners I've ever found, and everybody at the hostel just felt so at home. We all spent the time chatting and drinking and watching DVDs in the living room. And just 10 minutes away there is a gorgeous beach with some cool bars to just have a coffee and relax looking at the ocean. Thanks for a wonderful stay, people!!

This place had four beds in a one-bed bedroom. You had to climb in from the end of the bed. There are a lot a lot better places available in Malaga Plaza for five euros a night extra. I will NEVER stay here AGAIN!!!

I visited The Roaming Bull for four days this summer, and though the weather could have been better the hostel and the people in it were wonderful. I loved it and hopefully I will return next summer! A friendlier place does not exist. Have fun visiting it! =)

I'm spending two nights here — and I wish I didn't have to go! This place is FANTASTIC! It is so different and yet so amazing. You are treated like you are a part of the family! I can recommend this fantastic place to EVERYBODY! Enjoy your stay. :)

The Roaming Bull was our first hostel experience, and aside from a very small room during a very HOT couple of days, we had a blast! Paulo and Victoria were so kind to us, very accommodating and EXTREMELY cool. The trek up the hill to the hostel was intense at first, but our butt muscles never got such a great workout. We had a lot of fun, thank you for helping us to begin our adventure on such a good note.
PS. Awesome view from the terrace!

I've been backpacking in Europe for three months, staying in hostels; the Roaming Bull by far was one of the highlights of my trip. I only planned on staying for one night, and I ended up being here for two weeks. Paulo and Victoria (the owners) are the most unique people I've ever met. They are kind, fun, and very warm-hearted. The vibe that those two bring to their hostel is a must for any backpacker looking for an amazing experience. The Roaming Bull seemed to attract the most fun people, from all walks of life. I really can't say enough; it's something to experience on one's own. Thanks again you guys, you all were the best!!! Good luck.
