4 Very good
I had a very good time in this hostel and will definitely return to the hostel if I go back to London again. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Nice atmosphere and good location. Had to stay a few days longer because of the severe weather (heavy snowfall). It wasn't a punishment.

1 Ripped off
the reception people are unfriendly and unprofessional. they charge you for lots of things, trying to suck your pocket every occasion, no free internet, no renting bath towel. They did not even know processing credit card. Showers and toilets are beyond disgusting, has a permanent foul smell.

2 Worst hostel I stayed at in the UK. Definitely needs to be fixed up. The showers were disgusting, the kitchen was dirty and the staff were surly. 1 point for handy location!

5 The staff were very friendly, and it was quite clean. It was close to the Tube station, which is great, and it's on a Tube station that is connected to three important lines so it's even better access to many places. One of these lines is the Picadilly line, which connects straight to Heathrow, which was really practical for me. I hadn't stayed in a hostel before and didn't know what to expect, but I was not disappointed.

4 We found the hostel to be absolutely wonderful. Pricey, as is everything in London. But, it's another one of those "you get what you pay for" places. The shower had hot water and plenty of it. Nice shops, eateries and stores right in the area. The Tube is right near by. Totally recommend it.

4 Excellent facilities, lots of room, friendly staff. Location is a bit far out from the tourist zone, but is still accessible from the Tube or better yet the bus (cheaper and you get to see the city).

4 I really liked staying there. It was my second time in a youth hostel. Very comfy, typical British building, clean and with lots of nice people. About the location, it's not that bad if you travel by Tube (it could be better, but no one's perfect). I suppose it wouldn't be so peaceful and nice if it was right in the middle of central London. I really recommend it.

4 I stayed here in June 2003 and had a fantastic time. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The common room is for smokers, but there is another common room at the back of the place. Very good idea! The hostel has a nice kitchen with plenty of plates and utensils. The outside area is huge and there are about three benches to have lunch or dinner outside. The beds were comfortable and spacious. The hostel is located in a nice area of London, and there are plenty of cheap eats to be found. There was definitely a party atmosphere when I was there. The security guy who worked there was sort of upset that we were making a lot of noise, but it wasn't so bad. Hee, hee, there were plenty of Aussies around, but no problems. They're all good fun. Overall, I would recommend this hostel.

4 I stayed here in July 2004, and was definitely impressed. The hostel is located in the nice, wealthy area of Earl's Court, and is an old Victorian style house, but that certainly didn't make it any less wild! The rooms were big and spacious, and the beds very comfortable. The big lockers were great (bring a padlock). The toilets were a bit small, as were the showers, but at least the water was hot. The breakfast is quite good, containing cereal, fruit, croissant, roll, and juice. Just make sure you collect it before 9:30 a.m. or you miss out! The kitchen is good, but the fridges are a bit small, which is a pain as you have to stock up on beer before 11 p.m. in London! Still, it wasn't too bad. The hostel is close to shops, fast food, and the tube, which is very handy indeed. It is a little far out from the center of London, but proximity to the tube makes up for this. Plus, it is also on the line that goes to Heathrow, which is quite convenient. The best aspect of this hostel, though, is its party atmosphere. There are plenty of Aussies and New Zealanders to keep the party going. There's a great outside area to have a BBQ or just sit and drink, and the inside common room is a great little meeting place and party room. But beware, every night I was here, the party raged until the wee hours of morning, so don't plan on getting too much sleep! I can definitely recommend this place. I don't think I would have enjoyed London quite as much if I hadn't stayed here. Check it out!

5 We just finished our stay at Earl's Court, and it made our experience in London that much better. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the common room was full of people from all over the world. It was very easy to meet new people. The rooms were big and had a water basin. We stayed in a seven-bed room and there was no problem with space or noise. It was very close to the "tube," so getting anywhere in London was no problem at all. We loved it!!!

4 I had a great time at this hostel. The dorm was dead comfy, and the staff were really friendly. Yes, the location is a little far out, but not so far that you cannot access anywhere. At least you are not bothered by late night revellers roaming the street. All in all, a great time was had by all.

4 Very friendly, with a helpful staff. They have a huge continental breakfast, which was packed up so I could take it away with me. The common room was a great place to meet people--lots of Aussies seem to stay there.

4 Regardless of the slight musty smell that fills the hostel, I liked this place. It was a bit far out, which was annoying, but the hostel made up for it. The building is very pretty, and the staff who work here are very friendly and helpful. The living area is very comfy, as are the dorms. Actually, I think my dorm bed was more comfy then my bed at home! I definitely recommend this hostel.
