This is a 2 part Hostel. You can stay in the house or in the camping section. We like the camping area as it in a natural bush setting where the possums and birds come around. Kitchen very useful but owners get upset when no one cleans up their mess and burns fat on stove. Cleaner only comes in the mornings and will take away any dishes not washed & it costs 50cents to get your things back. Good times around campfire at night -- lots of wood available. I like it as owners insist on quiet at night after 11 so you can sleep. This good if need wake at 5.30. Free pool table lot of fun and play station games. Nice place. — Kelly Keen , Holland (2007-05-23)

I stay in this hostel while I was picking apple in the Yarra Junction and I really enjoy my stay there. The house is really clean with nice kitchen where you can at least cook something nice and only ten minutes walk to the shop. We got free internet in the library in town and when you not working you can ask to work in the hostel for free accommodation. And the owner are great person who always look after everybody and see if everything ok. The only thing is that the electricity is cut out at 11 p.m. but was not matter because everybody in bed before that time to go to work. That was a really good hostel. — ma poule (2006-04-07)
Well the hostel in the Yarra Valley is one of the worst hostels I have ever seen in me live next to the Griffith international hostel and Parkview backpackers in cairns. Nothing that is on their website is true and it is everything but clean, the toilets are composting ones and not looked after by anybody, the kitchen just grouse and dangerous. The laundry they have is properly the first ever made, it should be in a museum and not in a hostel. Then the owners are some of the weirdest persons you will find in this planet I think. She turns the power off at 11 o'clock and any noise after that, is a big fight with the owners and if your unlucky the coppers. She has a blind husband that can make a roof and mow the lawn and even look after a campfire and sort white from blue socks. Pretty amazing I think for a blind guy. And her transport to work is never on time, it is 2 dollar a trip and not free like here website says. And the part on being close to pubs and shops is a joke on its own; it is a 45 minute walk to Safeway, pub and bus stop. So that's an other big lie. Do not go there. — a travel by trade (2005-12-26)
