Very clean, comfortable, friendly and relaxing. None of the "grunginess" we found in other hostels. New mattresses, great coffee, and a nice, big kitchen. The staff are amazingly helpful and will make reservations, phone calls and help you find winery tours, car rentals, etc. We stayed at other, not so nice, hostels in Mendoza before we found Lagares. It has a really modern kitchen and bathrooms, it's spotless and has a great sociable layout with patios and courtyard. It's like being in a home rather than a hostel. The rooms have huge lockers and comfy beds. All the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. The price is very good, and it really is close to town.
