Room very small. Didn't feel secure owing to flimsy catch on balcony doors. Had to stuff toilet paper in the wash basin plug hole to try to stop foul smells from the drains entering the room each morning. The only fan available that worked was damaged and dangerous, but essential so used it. Shared facilities are (rather indiscreetly) in open lobby. Lack of handwashing facilities in shared toilets. In the shared shower areas -- have to negotiate (wet) slippery tiled steps and high shower trays with no hand rails, or any clean place to put towel etc. Fittings were hanging off walls. Doors stuck so had to force to get out! Treacherous for anyone less able. Breakfast was unappealing, not recommended. Most of the staff were nice, and the location is certainly good for Barri Gothic life.
Overall very disappointing and importantly very poor value, also I found you pay more when booking online as I did. (Paid three hundred sixty-eight Euros for six nights!)

This is the worst hostel I have ever been to. It was so dirty and full of bugs that I had to change to another hostel. I was told it was going to be fumigated the following week, but they rented me the bedroom anyway. And there were five boards left on the bed. Awful!
