Great Staff, Location, Room I'm a very picky, spoiled girl. I decided to extend my Birthright trip and stay on my own in Tel Aviv for a week. After searching reviews and making some phone calls, I decided on Mugraby because the cleanliness factor was decent, and there was room for me. I got a single, class C room for one night (#20) and found it fine for the price and amenities (AC, private toilet, and shower). I wanted a bigger room and they put in #1 which had a double bed, separate bathroom, a dresser (kind of fell apart but was good enough), and AC. It also had a window which was crucial. I was overly impressed with the staff who really made you feel at home. Staying with them for six nights, they made me feel very welcome and answered my stupid questions (they even schlepped my rental bike up and down the stairs for me day and night). It felt more like a bed and breakfast than cheap hostel.

Don't make a reservation here. They took our deposit and gave away our rooms. We had to break our budget to find a place for the night, walking the streets with our suitcases and young child.

Great Hostel!

The only thing that is good about this hostel is the location. Now here's where the hostel goes wrong. First off, the dorm room I stayed in was a dump. I don't even know how I continued in this place for six days. The dorm rooms are dirty. They are smack right on Allenby Street. The noise never stops. You will not get much sleep here. There is no lounge, all they have is a stupid Internet cafe and a rooftop with no one. Meeting people in this hostel is not good at all. To make things even worse, I was robbed on my last day. I would never stay here again. If you do stay here get a private room.

The hostel is in a great location. It is very close to the main beach. The staff who run the hostel are very nice and easy to talk to. I spent about six days in the hostel. It was great. The hostel is so close to everything in Tel Aviv — the nightlife, the market, and the main beach. The nightlife is amazing here. IF you do decide to stay here, I would recommend paying for the single room. I stayed here in August 2004. The last week of August great time to be here.

Great hostel, great staff, it's clean, and people here are very friendly. It's safe here. It's in a nice location, central to all of the clubs and restaurants. It's one minute flat from the beach, and the dorm rooms have air-conditioning. I spent four days here, and I wish I could stay more, but I am going back home now.

I am staying right now in the Mugraby Hostel, and it's in the best location in Tel-Aviv. The nightlife is amazing here.
