Cramped, dirty, and expensive facilities My boyfriend and I stayed at Paradise Beach "Resorts" on Mykonos in June of 2007. The positive aspect was that we were able to get a "bungalow" from the ferry dock and the the staff drives you to the "resort" and drives back to the ferries about once an hour which is nice because the "resort" is far from the ferry port and far from town. The bungalow however was a metal shed with one tiny window and one bare electric lightbulb with a bed in it. We thought that 30 euros a night was a decent price because that was what we paid in Santorini and Ios but we were getting a lot nicer facilities such as real beds in a building, with a washroom and mini fridge and Air conditioning for the same price as the shack at this place. There is a restaurant and little convenience store on the property but the prices are increased because the town is so far away. The bus ride to town takes about thirty minutes and at night you have to walk about ten minutes to the bus stop. There is also a pool but in order to use the pool you must purchase drinks or snacks from the bar. The beach is not far and it is pretty nice. The washroom/shower facilities were not pleasant pretty dirty and yucky but I have seen much worse in my travels. Girls have separate showers and toilets but the sinks are just a row of taps above a trough for water to run down for both men and women. There was a party atmosphere about the place because people go to a nearby club that has world renown dj's but just to get in was 20 euros and one drink cost 8 euros which is the most expensive of any of the greek islands I stayed on. Overall I was not impressed with this place at all, our shack of a bungalow was very hot and cramped and the place was too expensive for what they give you. The other islands I visited had much better accommodations for the same price. The music does play until about 6 a.m. most nights as well as loud partygoers yelling makes it very noisy if you are trying to sleep. This place is best suited for teenagers with money to burn who want to just want to party at night.

I went with my sister at the beginning of july (2006) for three nights which soon turned to six nights as we loved it so much. We also cancelled the end leg of our trip, to return to paradise beach. While we are both ones to enjoy the luxuries of five-star accommodation, nothing can top the luxury of walkng ten steps from where you're staying, to the beach. It is such a perfect location. The music plays most of the night, so if you don't like music -- you really should go elsewhere! Reception was friendly and accommodating to us -- we booked very last minute and they really looked after us. Thank you, especially to Michael -- you really added to our stay!

This place is the worst ever. My "private cabin" was a crate exactly the size of the bed. The only people who should stay here are 18 year olds who are interested exclusively in getting drunk and crazy 24 hours a day. It is NOT a hostel. It is nothing but a dance club with some unfortunate souls camped out in an old tool shed. The music that never stops pounded my head until 4 a.m. when I grabbed my bag and left to walk uphill on an unfamiliar road in the middle of the night to town. It was THAT bad.

I went in July 2004. I LOVED it! This place has THE best atmosphere to it!! It was the first of three Greek islands we went to. We nearly cut short our other island stays, as we loved it so much here. In relation to the rest of Europe, Mykonos is the same price, but the food at the camping ground is a little pricey. There's a little mini-market a five-minute walk away, where the bus stop is. Sandwiches and food in general is cheaper there. The sunset beach parties are great.
We stayed in the bungalows/apartments that were near reception. We had our own bathroom and mini-fridge. The staff are also great. By the end of our stay we knew nearly everyone there. I have just the best memories of my time at Mykonos. If you can time your stay to coincide with the full moon, they have great full moon parties here. There is unfortunately a cover charge of 10 euros, but it's only 5 euros if you tell them you're staying at the Paradise Beach.

This is not a bad place to stay if all you want is beach time. The staff are friendly and the campgrounds and beach are kept very clean. I stayed in a beach cabin, which was a small box with two beds, a light, and a outlet. If you're looking for a private bathroom (or anything nicer), stay in the rooms or apartment.
One downside is that it is quite a distance from town. A bus will take you from the resort to the town for about 1 Euro, but there are only six to eight buses a day (the last one is around 6 or 7 p.m.). A taxi will cost you about 8 Euro. Since you are so far away from town you are at the mercy of the restaurant and bar prices, which are sometimes high. Paradise Beach is one of the nicer beaches. In April the beaches are still somewhat empty -- summertime should be crazy.
