I came to Rostock on October 22 to watch football, and I had seen a flyer about the Hanse-Hostel. It had just opened, two weeks earlier I think, even though they wanted to open earlier but had problems with the city council. They were still preparing some more rooms but had no problems fitting us in at that time. I had a very nice stay there. The staff were very friendly and talkative. In the evening we sat in the kitchen and talked, while we also watched TV. They were also very helpful if I had problems that needed to be solved. This hostel really recommendable, and I will use it also in the future for my football trips. So despite opening later than planned it's now fully finished and well functioning.

When I visited this hostel last week it was open! I spent one night in the hostel, which was great. I've never had such a good bed in another hostel. The "hostel parents" were extremely generous and I can just give you the tip to stay at this hostel while you visit Rostock! Everything is fine and very new! Thanks a lot again for making my visit so comfortable!

I tried to visit this hostel on September 2, 2004, but it was still under construction. I wonder if it even exists anymore. Fortunately, there are other nice hostels in the city, even though they are harder to find on the Internet.

We visited this hostel on April 7, 2004. It was under construction at the time, but no one told us that. We wasted a lot of time because of this, and didn't like being fooled like this. We strongly recommend that you add the date that construction on the hostel will be completed to this site.
