Location | • Walking distance to: • ** Local transportation, metro station (Baquedano) and bus lines in Plaza Italia (heart of the city) • ** Bellavista neighborhood where you can find Pablo Neruda's house (La Chascona), restaurants, bars and clubs. • ** Cerro San Cristobal (Parque Metropolitano) with amazing lookouts to the whole city and cable cars which take you to the peak of the hill. • ** Plaza de Armas (Santiago's historical district) • ** La Moneda (Santiago's Presidential Palace) • ** And 10 minutes away from Providencia, El Bosque norte and El Golf, Santiago's most sophisticated neighborhoods, full of shops, cafes, art galleries, restaurants, bars and clubs (calle suecia). • Getting Here From The Bus station/Airport: • From the Bus station: • From the metro station take Line 1 (red line) to the Baquedano metro station, or pick any bus on Alameda (Av. Libertador Bernardo O´Higgins) that says Plaza Italia. We are only a couple of blocks away from Plaza Italia and Baquedano metro station (we recommend you print the map appers in the web page). For reference Coronel Santiago Bueras is parallel to Merced and in between Irene Morales and Estados Unidos streets. This is the cheapest way to get to our hostel. • From the airport: • ** You can pick up a taxi at the airport, the fee shouldn´'t be more than US$ 15.00 (beware that Chilean taxi drivers may want to rip you off charging you more than US$ 15) or you can also pick up a transfer for US$10.00 aprox (If you want we can book a transfer directly and they will be waiting for you, just tell us your flight number and expected time of arrival, the fee is US$ 6.50 and you pay it in the Hostel. We sincerely think this is the best alternative for you) ...and then you just tell the driver the Hostel´s name, address and say to him that is very near to Plaza Italia, he should leave you at our door. Do not worry, Santiago is a safe city. • **Please, if you have any questions write us an email and we will help you.
