Spice of Life is a quiet,uncomplicated place with plenty of space inside and out. Dorms are uncrowded, and as the hostel only sleeps 18 it is never crowded.
The hostel is in an old farm house and has a very homely feel about it. For those wanting to get off the noise bus for a while, this is the perfect spot.
Kruger National Park is visible from the hostel, and the entrance gate is a mere 12km away. The Mozambique border post is 1km away which means we are actually a Mozambique hostel but still in S.A.
There are no rules to cramp your style and no dishes to wash unless you want to.
There is an abundance of surrounding bush and NO neighbours, so if there happens to be a party going down, it will keep on going.
This is an old style hostel and it is owner run and managed, so you get to hang out with real South Africans in their house. We do not bombard anyone with tours and activities but will gladly arrange anything you may want to do.
All the main bus lines stop in the town or at the border and a phone call gets you a free pickup anytime. We will also gladly drop you off again.
