Great location, economical, safe place to stay in downtown Athens The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is on a busy street and it can be very noisy. Rooms on the back side are quiet and preferred. The breakfast was excellent, including eggs and fruit. Have earplugs in case you are on the Athenis Street side. Closing the outside window/door shutters and the inside glass doors can reduce the noise (or turn on the air conditioning) but you can't avoid hearing the motorcycles and traffic on the street below. Room has a very good shower and toilet. For 45 Euros, don't expect a four-star hotel - but it is quite acceptable. The internet and bag storage are a bit pricey but you can find cheaper services nearby. We booked a ten-day, five-island tour through this hotel and it was excellent.

what a dump. this is the worst hostel i have ever stayed in. the hostel is filthy and the staff are rude. my room was like a prison cell with a bare light bulb hanging from the ceiling. breakfast was the worst i have ever been offered. the traffic noise is deafening all night long. there is no air conditioning and my room was on the fifth floor, six flights of stairs with no elevator. never stay here. i had reserved at a different hostel -- Hotel Dioskouros -- but was bumped here for some reason not explained to me.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. Only after staying here a few days did I learn that it was a brothel several months ago. The rooms are extremely loud, the staff are unfriendly, and the whole thing is a real mess. There are many better hotels in Athens. The owners looked more like Mafia guys than hoteliers and were extremely rude throughout our seven days in Athens. In fact, we switched hotels after five days (and gave them two days notice) and they still charged our credit card. Very dishonest. DON'T STAY HERE!
