The YHA hostel lodge is in one of the best locations on the mountain - in the heart of the village with very easy access to chair lifts and all facilities - you can ski to the front door!
Bedrooms are bunk style with six guests per room. There's a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, central heating, drying room for ski gear and a secure ski/snowboard storage room. Chairlift departs only 100 metres from hostel.
Great Rates
A bed at the hostel ranges in price from $42 - $67 per night depending upon the season. Non YHA members are welcome and pay an additional $5.00 per night.
There's also a reduced rate for those aged under 18.
Clean bed linen is supplied by the hostel and included in the charge. There is no need to bring sleeping bags - the lodge is centrally heated and ample clean duvets and blankets are provided.
Bring Your Own
You'll need waterproof pants and jacket, hat, goggles and gloves or you can hire clothing on the mountain.
You can bring and cook your own food, purchase food at the store on the mountain or from the many food outlets - hotels, restaurants and fast food.

Value for money ski packages are available for both members and non-members. Packages include luxury coach transport from Melbourne to Mount Buller and return, entrance fee to Mount Buller, hostel accommodation, unlimited lift ticket each day and ski/snowboard hire. Please phone for details.

I went up to Buller on the weekend of the 5th of August to the 7th. I stayed at the YHA. This place is the best place to meet awesome people. As for myself, I met some wicked people (Room 7). You guys know exactly who you are!! Compression sessions all the way... — Sammy!! (2005-08-09)
