Treachery Camps Seal Rocks is a newer hostel built on the coast of the beautiful Seal Rocks. As part of the larger Treachery Headland Cabins campsite, the hostel is located beside a medium-sized campground that tends to attract visiting surfers and families.
The dorm rooms (cabins) are very new and virtually immaculate. While they are rather small, they contain large secure storage areas for backpacks etc. The hostel has a large clean kitchen and the campground washroom facilities are shared with the other campers. It is worth noting that the showers are coin operated, so you must take $0.60 for a quick shower.
Due to its wooded location the hostel has a real campy atmosphere. Travellers can socialize (or cook marshmallows) around the outdoor campfire or hang out in the indoor common room just off of the kitchen. The campground is a little ways out of town, so it is best to take food with you on your way in. Fridges and storage space are available. The beach is a one-minute walk away and there are some fabulous sand-dunes to enjoy. In sum, an excellent clean hostel for a quick stay and a chance to see Seal Rocks.
