pretty basic for its rather high price, no place to hang out with other occupants other than the breakfast table in the morning and a very arrogant/unfriendly boy at the reception. don't expect internet or tv (didn't bother me that much but is kinda standard nowadays). the atmosphere is familiar if you get along with their brats. all in all i wouldn't recommend it. — oliver (2007-03-03)

The hospitality rating is twelve stars! We were made to feel like family. The house is slowly being renovated and the convenience to train, metro, internet cafe, and downtown Bucharest is hard to beat. At the moment, there are no accomodations for elderly or handicapped. That being said, all ages of travelers are welcome at this family-run hostel. We'd definitely stay there again. If you want to experience the "real" Romania, begin your travels here. They will even meet you at the airport! — alinda wasner (2006-07-03)
Old house and very dirty. They cheated the price for airport transfer and guided tour. Beware of that. Security is very low. — Debby (2006-04-21)

They are a very nice family. They were helpful with doing my laundry (no extra fee), giving advice for our travel itinerary and their son even helped me not get cheated by a taxi driver. They really tried to be helpful. The room and accommodations were fine. — Anonymous (2005-05-27)

Excellent value, very welcoming, clean and comfortable. It's not luxurious but it feels like home and in fact IS a home, but you never feel like you're intruding. It's very handy for the train station, and it's not a bad walk into the city from here. All in all, it's a great place to stay on a budget. — Dill (2004-12-04)
