2  Nice town, great pub, friendly locals - shame about the arsehole running the backpackers though. Get used to putting your hand in your pocket for everything, being treated like a second class citizen, spoken to rudely and freezing your bum off if you stay here in Winter. Avoid at all costs! My travelling mates and I ended up staying at the Forest Stay cabins, which worked out cheaper and far nicer than this place. Host there also treated us like fellow human beings too.  ()
5  This is my favorite of all the hostels I've stayed at so far down south. The free Saturday barbecue was a pleasant surprise. So are their huge chickens. It has a really nice heritage feel, a great communal courtyard and some of the nicest people I've met so far. Though if any crazy Irish men offer to roast your apples covered in condensed milk, take my advice and politely decline. Definitely worth a stay or two. I'd recommend the cottages if you were an overseas backpacker. It has a "share home" atmosphere about it and really is a lot of fun! Thanks guys, keep up the great work!  ()
4  I've stayed at Pemby Backpackers on several occasions now (twice during Dec 04 - Jan 05 and again July 05). I found the hostel very clean and the rooms comfortable. And after walking the Bibbulmun Track, the hot showers and bath were to die for. The fires are great and a godsend during the winter months. Keith and Chad do a great job as hosts — they're friendly, funny and nothing is too much trouble. They know their town and the places worth going to. Pemberton has a lot to do if you are prepared to go out and do it. For the backpacker looking for a bit of work to help you on your way, this is the place to be. Thanks Keith.  ()
5  We stayed at the Pemberton Backpackers after Christmas 2004. We found that the location, facilities and the friendly staff made it a brilliant holiday. Special thanks to Keith Daddow, who really looked after us during our stay.  ()
5  This place has beautiful gardens, and is Well-managed. I really enjoyed the Saturday night BBQs and those fantastic chickens (the largest I've ever seen). I stayed in one of their cottages, and had the time of my life. I came to stay for a day and stayed a week.  ()
5  Very friendly. I love the chickens that roam around. Fantastic gardens. A must visit place.  ()
4  Delightful hostel. Well managed by a nice chap. I had a great time.  ()
2  Nice town, beautiful area, but shame about the hosts at the backpackers (he's a ****).  ()
