This was the first hostel I ever stayed at, and remains one of my favorites. The owners run the place, and are friendly and thoughtful. I give it top marks for atmosphere - this hostel is set in a restored historic house and is chock-full of character. The amenities aren't as modern or spotless as the big-city YHA hostels, and the kitchen/dining area is a little cramped. But I look on this hostel as a cosy home away from home.
