Huge rooms close to the beach This was a converted hotel (as in pub style), and therefore has en-suites with the dorms. Never seen such a large room for 8 beds! And there's heaps of shelves and storage (as they have a 'no stuff on the floor' rule). It's so close to the beach (which means it's not so close to the city of Perth, but close enough to Freemantle, though the buses are infrequent. As with other Perth Hostels, lots of long termers who work staying there. — Snosie , Aussie (2010-10-24)
We'd read the rave reviews of this hostel and were horribly disappointed. The place is full of noisy, drunk teenagers, who left the kitchen and communal areas filthy and expected the staff to clean up after them. Our room was tiny and the bathroom was pathetic. The beach is beautiful but the hostel is a shocker. I wouldn't recommend it. — samadhi , NZ (2007-05-13)

Brilliant. Forget about the cockroaches in the kitchen (yeah, they sometimes show up) and enjoy the place, the beautiful beach, and the Sunday Sessions! Four stars only because the downtown is quite far away. FYI there is no surf in Cottesloe except from July to September. — Jay (2007-02-12)

Brilliant, great people, great staff, right on the beach! the best time ever! You have to stay here!! — Sarah (2007-01-26)

This hostel was great. The location was five star. The atmosphere was brilliant. A lot of naked men wandering round my room, though, which was a little strange. You can wear a towel to the shower; you don't have to carry it in your hands. — Anonymous (2005-03-13)

Superb location on the fantastic beach, and nice and handy for the world famous "Sunday Session." Good atmosphere, huge en suite rooms and good communal areas. — Samson (2005-01-20)

This hostel is fantastic! It's the perfect hostel for Perth; it's in my top three hostels in the world (out of over 50!). The atmosphere is so chilled, you meet so many people, and they always have fun things on, like barbecue nights and the Sunday Session! There's a café, too, selling lovely food, and you're literally on the beach! It's perfect; I can't believe it's closing down! — Lydia (2004-12-09)

The best place in Australia--top people, clean and big rooms, loads of stuff going on, and a great beach. I stayed three months!! — Jordana (2004-05-08)

Nice hostel, great beach. The kitchen could be better, but it had fans in the rooms and was friendly. — Anonymous (2003-12-19)

Absolutely briliant - you've got to see this beach! — Nick (2003-11-22)
