Amaroo Park is located a short walk from the centre of Cowes. Close to shops, cafes and the beach.
The homestead was built in the 1920's and houses the large guest lounge with open fire in winter, large verandahs in summer. Onsite bar, solar heated swimming pool, large fully equiped kitchen and off street parking.
We offer dormitory, double & twin and en suite family sized cabins in addition to a few camping sites (suitable for tents and/or campervans)

One of the best! I and my teenage children had a seven-week odyssey to Down Under during late Spring and Summer 2006. Our very first hostel was here, which I had reserved for one night only upon our arrival. We had flown New Zealand Air from L.A. to Auckland to Melbourne, then took the Skybus to downtown Melbourne. There, we caught another bus out to Phillip Island, arriving in darkness. We wandered a little bit before finding this exceptionally fine hostel, and, upon signing in, reception directed us to a separate cottage, perfect for the three of us. (How I wished my wife could be with us!) In fact, it was so perfect that we signed on for another night, partly so we could take advantage of the penguin parade. We also rented bicycles here and pedaled to the Koala Reserve and around. The breakfast/meals were excellent as were the directions and assistance given by reception. This rural hostel is superb in every respect, and I highly recommend it. — "Juanito Hayburg" , USA (2007-11-13) I extensively traveled around Australia late last year and Amaroo Park was the best place I stayed in the whole time I was away from England.
