This hostel really does sound amazing doesn't it. I walked for ten to fifteen minutes out of town (with backpack) along the busiest road in Buzios (which the hostel is on), which has construction work going on for a large stretch of it (looks like it will go on for a while too) so there is no pavement. The hostel does have dorm rooms, does have a small kitchen, does not have internet (let alone free internet), does not offer breakfast (let alone free breakfast), does not have lockers (the receptionist said I could leave my things in reception because only she has the key), the reception is not open twenty-four hours (I think it is open until five p.m. today and eight p.m. tomorrow). And I guess 'right beside the beach' is kind of true (Im told it's about seven minutes walk away). Also, the front gate to the hostel can be unbolted from the street and when reception is closed, the dorm key is left hanging in an unlocked corridor. When I turned up there a few minutes ago after a long journey direct from Manaus in the north, I thought I had mixed up the hostels that I had read about online because of tiredness, hunger or whatever, so I've paid for tonight's accommodation because it was requested that I do so in advance -- gutted!
