Great A really friendly hostel. English couple had just taken it over and they were really helpful and informative! Would recommend it to anyone, spent six days there. really enjoyable.

Recommended I stayed in a double room in Wally's for five nights (originally booked for three, then extended). It is an excellent place to stay. There are new owners, an English family there about eight months now who keep the place running very smoothly and it is spotlessly clean. The rooms are very spacious, toilets, and showers are very clean. The kitchen is well equipped, very clean, and is big enough to accommodate quite a few people at a time. There is a decent TV lounge with coin-operated internet and a DVD player. Overall, highly recommended hostel about five minutes walk from town and Marine parade, ten minutes from supermarkets, fifteen to twenty minutes from bus.

Very Impressed As a full time professional sports coach, I travel the country with the sport I am involved in. I stayed here with a rep team and was very impressed. The place was undergoing a massive transformation after being recently purchased by a English couple. The kitchen and dining area is complete and it's now fantastic. We spoke about future renovations and I believe once complete, this will be an excellent venue for backpackers and sports teams!

This place was pretty dirty. Our lasting memory is the really old smelly carpets -- they are everywhere in the hostel and they had us close to heaving a couple of times. We stayed in one of the double en-suite rooms. The room was a good size and the bathroom was ok, but again there were the smelly carpets. And the bedsheets were covered in other people's hair. The kitchen was ok but a bit dirty. The plus points were two computers with free internet and the central location.
