The Three Lochs hostel is situated at the head of the Gareloch, a short distance away from two routes of the Three Lochs Way. (Arrochar & Helenburgh)
Garelochhead Village has a number of small shops, a pub, Cafe and take away restaurants. So called 'The Gateway to the Highlands', the village make a wonderful point to start your travels northwards.
Close by, around 20 minutes away West by bus lies Helensburgh by the river Clyde or 20 minutes North sits the scenic village of Arrochar.
Based at the Centre 81 Community Centre, this Hostel has free parking and WiFi.
Twin rooms feature private bathrooms, while dormitory rooms feature bunk beds and dormitory bathroom facilities. Bed linen and a limited supply of towels are freely available to guests.
The Centre also includes a gym & fitness suite, which can be accessed upon request. Our community hall has a TV, Shared Kitchen and a laundry facility that is housed just past the main hall.
The main Community building plays host to various functions throughout the week form fitness & sports classes to community events.

Location
• Direction to the Three Lochs Hostel:
• From Glasgow airport by car-
• Take the M8 out of Glasgow and travel onto the Erskine Bridge (M898).
• From there, follow the Great western Road (A82) towards Dumbarton and follow it through past Dumbarton, Balloch and past Destinations like Duck Bay Marina and Cameron House until reaching the Arden Roundabout. Take the first exit and follow the A818 into Helensburgh; going down to the Main road by the Clyde.
• From Helensburgh take a right and travel past Rhu, Shandon and the Faslane Naval Base following the signs to Garelochhead.
• Follow the B872 through Garelochhead until reaching the Garelochhead Church of Scotland. Take a left before passing the Church down the Old School Road where you will reach Centre 81, this is where you will find the Three Lochs Hostel.

• From Glasgow airport, look for the 500 Airport Express to take you near Glasgow Queen Street Station (around a 40 minute ride) you will arrive at Dundas Street, then take a small walk to Queen street station
• Look for the Scotrail service to Malliag/Oban (if travelling from Glasgow Queen Street) or Glasgow (If travelling from the upper north of Scotland). Both will go through Garelochhead Station.
• Train times can be found on the Scotrail Website and Fares will vary Depending on time and distance from Destination.
• From Arrival at the Garelochhead station, Follow the hill down, Taking a Left further down at the first three way split until reaching the main road. The Garelochhead Church of Scotland should be in view. Cross the road and follow the pavement Left toward the road of the churches entrance. Continue down the Old School Road until you reach Centre 81, this is where you will find the Three Lochs Hostel.
• If the direct to Garelochhead station is unavailable, look for a Train service to Helensburgh Central (This is in the Underground Services on Platform 8 and 9). From there, make you way to the bus stop opposite to the station and look for a bus stop with a bus numbered the 316. 316 buses can take you to Garelochhead and Colport and will take you to a bus stop close to our local Spar shop. From there, follow the pavement next to the Garelochhead Church of Scotland and follow the Old School road down to Centre 81.
