Hostelz.com Guest Reviews
Just returned home from a three-week trip to London, where I stayed in a nice, respectable, charming bed & breakfast in Forest Gate. Why? Because we got to London, all the way out to Leyton, to find out that the 27 Lyttelton Road address was 100% fraudulent (it's either a residence, or the man claiming it to be a residence when you knock on the door is actually the crook behind The In Between's devious bullsh*t) & that the second address we had for The In Between was bad as well: the place had just been closed down for having been run illegally. That would explain the 400 dollar charge to my friend's credit card for the duration of our stay--a week before we even arrived in London! He still hasn't gotten the money back, though the wheels are turning on that front (including having filed a police report while we were over there). In closing: let me recommend a better Hotel in Forest Gate (near Leyton). — Jason (2004-07-21)
This place is horrible. Not only is it a long tube ride and a long walk from the center of town, it's not much of a place. It's just a couple of guys renting out rooms in their house. Also, six months later I got a charge on my credit card for 304 US dollars from them. Needless to say, I was mad. — Sean (2004-06-10)
Be warned! This hostel is a fraud. It is NOT in central London! It took me nearly 45 minutes to get to the tube station from central London, and I walked another 30 minutes only to find an unmarked house in a shabby residential district. — Jared Rittberger (2004-06-08)
