Location
It's just a short walk to the City Centre & many of Melbourne's major attractions, parks & gardens, around the corner from Lygon Street, with its great restaurants, shops, pubs & nightclubs & 10 minutes walk from the Melbourne Transit Centre (McCaffertys-Greyound Franklin Street Bus Terminal). There is easy access to public transport: bus, train & tram. Pick-up from & drop-off to the Transit Centre & Spencer Street Bus & Train Terminal may be available by prior arrangement. The Skybus to Melbourne Airport will drop you at the hostel within certain hours and will pick-up from the hostel with 24 hours advance notice. Visit http://www.skybus.com.au for rates and timetables. For 3 or more adults, it is probably cheaper to get a taxi.
Online booking is not offered for this hostel, contact them for availability and reservations (any contact info we have is listed above).

Dirty and unfriendly I stayed here in 2004. It was very dirty, and the other hostelers were fairly unfriendly. It might have been great ten years ago, but it certainly went downhill from there!

I lived and worked here for around four months and must say it was absolutely awesome. Clean, friendly, and homey, and near the best bars and restaurants in town.

I lived here for five months in ‘98 and also found it grand. It's located close to everything and it's affordable. Enjoy!

I lived here for five months back in '99. It was pretty sexy.
