1  What a disaster!!! Booked and paid for accommodation upfront as well as a 50% deposit for so-called "conference facility." Had to have a cold shower on my first morning because there was no hot water. The catering requested for the conference delegates was ignored for 2 consecutive days, and when I changed venues, I was refused a refund!!!  , South Africa ()
4  Friendly, home away from home feel Thank you Riverview Lodge for such an enjoyable stay. Elmarie and her staff were always helpful and assisted us with any requirement both big and small. They offer the best value for money. R120 for a bed and breakfast -- thats incredible!!! WE had a delicious meal, hot showers and a good nights rest. Thank you to the management for making our stay so enjoyable.  , USA ()
1  Stay Away! This lodge is dirty and infested with roaches. There are problems with getting hot water and the bath rooms are pubic and very dirty. It is the worst place I have stayed in my life. The staff has very limited in customer service skills. Avoid a nightmare and Stay Away.  , USA ()
1  Riverview is NOT a 'lodge', its at best a hostel/backpackers The best thing about Riverview lodge, was the fact that we only had to stay for three nights, which by the way was three to many. You have no privacy whatsoever. People come and go (very loudly) from 5am till 23h30 every night, which makes a good night's rest impossible. You share small toilets and showers with LOTS of people! The rooms were dirty period. I will personally never stay there again for as long as I live. I recommend they call the mail "LODGE" a hostel, and NOT a lodge.  , South Africa ()
3  I like the fact that the lodge is close to public transport and that if I were to give directions to somebody I am sure the person would not get lost. It is a type of lodge one could recommend for people who would like to visit Cape Town. There is one most important thing I would like to bring to up so it's attended to urgently! Patricia, she needs to learn to wear a smile. She should be approachable. I suggest that she take a customer service skills course. She makes life difficult for people who approach her, and when it comes to explaining or directing she seems unwilling to co-operate. She must know that people ask because they do not understand, not because they are undermining her. At least that's how I can interpret her behavior.  ()
