Hostelz.com Guest Reviews

The most expensive and disappointing stay during our two months in SA It's not HI hostel -- they are not on HI website and they refused to give us discount. Rooms stink as some kind of cleaning supply. Staff is unfriendly and racist -- they warned people in front of us that if they want to have breakfast at certain time, "it will black people in there!". They also gave us wrong information on visiting BIig Hole -- "you need to book ahead, we have people staying extra night to get there." In fact it was completely available, I would say it was almost dead at Big Hole. — Petr McAllister , Canada (2011-05-24)

Excellent. Very friendly managers. There is a good value restaurant that is handy. It's 5 km from town but that's ok if you have a car. It's quite an experience to stay in a former convict station (nice colonial-style compound) of the De Beers mine. — Marie (2005-08-29)
