4 Great
Please don't be afraid to visit this hostel. It is an old Air Force base, and the officer's quarters have been converted into a very nice hostel. It is clean, safe, and comfortable. It is in a quiet location. It is so close to the delightful town of Birch Bay and about ten minutes away from the Birch Bay Water Slides! The manager Mickey is delightful.

2 Scary
I live nearby and took a drive by. The place was really spooky and reminded me of something from a Friday the 13th movie. But I must admit that the location is close to the beach.

4 Very nice
Very nice hostel. Mickei who runs the place is very nice and friendly. Has coffee and pancake batter ready in the morning. Great area for biking and and walking on the beach.

5 I've stayed at this hostel twice, in 2000 and 2001, and found it to be clean, safe, quiet, and conveniently located. The manager was polite, friendly, and helpful. Hurray Birch Bay!!
