Description
Boghill Centre is an eco friendly residentional music and healing centre on the west coast of Ireland. Situated at the foot of the Burren the Boghill offers a relaxed and tranquile venue with easy access to points of interest in the Burren and on the Coast. The Centre is close to Lisdoonvarna and Doolin where regular music sessions take place. The centre is run by musicians and very often sessions take place in the living room in front of the turf fire. The place is used by various groups conducting workshops ranging from tribal drumming to singing , yoga, 5 rythm dancing and traditional irish music.

| Location | •From Ennis: • Take the N85 out of Ennis signed Lisdoonvarna, Ennistymon and Corofin • and follow the signs to Corofin on the R476 - to your right just outside Ennis. • Keep on this road all the way through Corofin to Kilfenora. • When you reach Kilfenora take the first turn to the right to Lisdoonvarna (still on R476). • After approx 3 miles you will see a sign for the Boghill Centre on your left. Take this turn and then the next right turn – after you see two horse heads on the left and just after the house on the right. The Centre is about half a mile on your left. • If you are coming from Galway: • Head for Kinvara, Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna. From Lisdoonvarna take the road to Kilfenora. After about 1/2 mile Boghill is signposted on the right. • After about 300 meters take the small road to the left. The Centre is about half a • mile on your right. • From the Airport • Taxis are around 70 euro, please phone the taxi to arrange your own pickup from the airport. We usually use Peter Mooney - 0657074663 (mobile 0872069019). • Alternatively there is 'Murphys Cab' 0879501218. • International code for Ireland is 00353 and remove the first 0 of the phone number. • On the Bus • Visit www.buseireann.ie for current bus timetables, the nearest stops to us are either Lisdoonvarna (5 minutes drive) or Kilfenora (10 minutes drive). • On the Train • See www.irishrail.ie for timetables and fares. Sometimes you can get 'rail and sail' deals for ferry and train over from England. The nearest train station is Ennis*. • Please organise your own transportation from Ennis station to Boghill - either the bus or a taxi (see above). • *Trains sometimes terminate at Limerick station but there is usually a bus service to Ennis. |
