Be careful Please be aware of Casa Kloster in Guanajuarto. I had a problem with one of the workers watching me shower a few weeks ago. The police were involved and the owner was extremely shocked and apologetic. I'm not sure of what resulted in the end as I had to leave. It was otherwise a fantastic hostel with great facilities and I would recommend it provided that a short man between the ages of twenty-five and thirty is not still working there.

It's very clean and central and you feel very safe. If you are interested, the foreigner can tell you a lot about the Mexican political situation. Tip -- close always your door if you go to the bathroom or somewhere so that the little dogs can't come in your room!

I've stayed at Casa Kloster on two occasions and am totally enamored of it. It's located right in the center of town, and you can walk anywhere easily. The rooms surround an enclosed courtyard filled with flowers and caged birds. There are larger rooms with private baths for families. My wife, two daughters and sister in law stayed there for Christmas a few years ago and had a simply marvelous time. I hope to return there soon.

Great location, friendly staff, nice place! We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our stay. They can accommodate large groups; we were a group of 13. I would definitely go back.
