This hostel is a nice and rather big place. Lockated next to a KFC on the mainroad, it is easy
to find and reach. There is also plenty of room for off road parking. The building in a whole
contains 2 mainbuildings that are connected over a backyard with a lawn and lines for dryings
the laundry. Both mainbuildings contain a TV-Lunge and a kitchen, which provides plenty of room
for everybody. The facilities are clean. One of the mainbuildings is a newer addition to the
complex. The other one has a certain charm to it. One can almost feel the history of generations
of backpaers staying there.
The worst about the place would be the town it is lokated in. It is a sad little place, but
comes with main shopping facilities, which allows to fill up the groceries.

Hike and Bike is NOT a YHA; New Zealand YHA dropped it in 2001. Hike and Bike had/has concealed cameras in rooms where backpackers would expect privacy. It's no use complaining to the New Zealand police about this because they're the problem, not the solution. So.....if you're concerned about your privacy, do it under the sheets (day or night).
