Description

The large 100-year-old traditional New Zealand house is a small, friendly and clean Hostel with a big sunny private garden.Comfortable homely atmosphere with heated rooms in the winter make the place cozy and warm. The Backpacker is the best place to enjoy the citylife or to prepare for a trip. The "good" rated BBH-Hostel is only a 10 min walk from the centre

Since 2004 things have really changed!!! The place is very friendly and the staff very helpful. To save money and have a good time go there. You'll enjoy the place, which is just a 10-minute walk to the city center. And if you are too lazy to move you could also tan in the large garden.

Quite a walk from town, owner was miserable & always stressed. Didnt like the atmosphere at all, there was a big fight over a theft on the first night of our stay. Wouldnt reccommend staying here, poorly run & unfriendly. You might aswell stay in one of the hostels in the centre - such as Base.
