Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in! Impeccably neat and clean, great furnishings, awesome location. The washrooms are a bit small, but nothing to complain about. Staff were a little bit aloof, but again, it did not bother us one bit. My partner — who is not really into hostelling — says she would never want to stay anywhere else in Nelson. I wish more hostels were like this.

I stayed here in 2002 and thought it was lovely. When I went back this year, I found that it's only gotten better. In fact, I've spent three months traveling in BC and staying in hostels around the province, and it's easily one of the best! Beautiful facilities, friendly staff, and right on Baker Street downtown...

Pretty good place to stay — very clean and well run. Staff are nice enough and the beds are comfy. Good bathrooms, kitchen and outdoor area. Get a room that isn't next to a bathroom, though.

Very clean. They had a friendly staff; a little uptight, but all in all it was a nice experience.

My mom and I stayed at the inn in May. It was her first time at a hostel and a great introduction to the experience. It was very clean. We had a lovely private double room with a washbasin, cupboards, table, and chairs. We had a great night's sleep, and the staff was really friendly. The common area was cozy, with a woodstove and Mission-style furniture. The night we were there, a jam session broke out with bongos and didgeridoos. Cool! I highly recommend this place. Much better than the dump across the street.

I stayed in in '97. Unless it has gone downhill, it was a class act.
