Avon City Backpackers

This is a very good hostel. I highly recommend it. The hosts are the nicest and sweetest people you will ever find. They treat you like you are one of their children. It is a smaller hostel, but that allows you to communicate more with your fellow roomies. They like to plan events in the evenings, and I would overall say that Avon City backpackers is one of my favorite hostels.

this is a really nice hostel with the loveliest hosts you can imagine. they help you with whatever problem you have, celebrating holidays with everyone and cleaning the facilities every day! there is no TV, which most of the guests think is fine because you have to talk to one another and that creates a homey atmosphere. ok, the kitchen is small, but it is a small hostel so there are not many people around to disturb you in your cooking. i think it's the best place you can go with a tent.

It is a shame as the owners are really nice, but this hostel needs a lot of work. You wouldn't even know it was a hostel from the outside. The rooms have awful beds and the place looks generally run down. You must have a car as it is very out of the way and don't bring too much food as there is no storage! The kitchen was tiny!
