I firmly believe that when travelling for real, to learn and experience, you need to see all the places a country wants you to see as well as those they don't. Shepparton is a good example of the latter, but with a great deal of hidden charm. The hostel was nice, clean and friendly, and I loved it because the people staying there aren't your typical, romantic backpackers, but those who stay off the beaten track and are here for the experience, not the photos with kangaroos or the fake boomerang souvenirs! (I hope you understand my English okay!)
