Nice
We went to a lot of hostels, but Sir toby's is a top three hostel. The location is out the Prague centre, but the rooms are clean and spacious, the garden and the pub are nice. Around the corner you can find a very cheap supermarket, and also some nice restaurants. Friendly staff. I will visit sir tobys again if i'm in Prague.

Close to hostel perfection
This is definitely the best hostel I've stayed in and over the years i've spent four months touring europe. The place has an awesome atmosphere, the staff are absolutely fantastic and really helpful, cheap internet, and cheap phone calls. Good tourist information from the hostel. The rooms are so nice, great decor, really sunny and bright and airy and the cleanest hostel i've stayed in yet. I'm a flashpacker so usually try to stay in the nicest hostel i can find and this definitely exceeded my expectations. The people you meet there are fun and easygoing. The breakfast is reasonably good and very cheap considering they let you make sandwiches to take away. This would be close to hostel perfection except for one thing only -- the mattresses are thin and therefore the beds are uncomfortable. Definitely book here, I can't speak highly enough of the place!

Fantastic
This is certainly the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff was extremely helpful and the building itself is really nice. The kitchen, courtyard, bar, and all the rooms that I saw were clean and comfortable. It is on the other side of the river from the town center, but Prague is huge and you'll have to figure out the tram system at some point, plus the front desk can sell you tram passes.

Very good
I stayed there last summer with my mum and two friends. the hostel is very clean, comfortable, and friendly. we stayed in a four-bedded room with private bathroom and it was perfect. maybe a little bit far from the centre, you have to catch a bus or tram to get back to the hostel, but in the night there's public service too. praga is beautiful -- i definitely enjoyed there.

Happily surprised by the comfort and hospitality provided by them
This is the first hostel we ever stayed in Europe. We found front desk staffs extremely friendly, location easily accessible, room clean, and best, it's non-smoking and quiet in general. Everything is almost perfect. Best of all is there is breakfast inside the hostel for very reasonable fee. Kitchen was very well equipped and user friendly. We found making friends easy especially in the kitchen. We were happily surprised by a cello/guitar concert offered in the basement one night. It was just wonderful. I shall be back.

The staff is great, rooms clean, and good breakfast (but you have to pay for it). I was very disappointed with the location. The only way to get into where you want to be in Prague is a tram stop that isn't even that close to the hostel. Really it is an amazing hostel but don't stay here if you like to be in the center of town.

Wow what a new years eve! Sir Toby's was a great choice, went by myself and found great people there. The hostel is good at all, the only thing i didnt like was payable internet but comparing with another hostels i've been its on the top. Nice rooms, nice very cool and very helpful staff, nice kitchen, very original hostel with a chapel and a pub inside. It's a little bit far away from the Prague center but the transport system is great and the center its only about ten minutes by tram. I found good to be not so close to the center. I will be back there.

I found this hostel to be excellent in all respects, and would have no hesitation in recommending it to any traveler. The booking procedure was easy, the rooms clean and spacious, the staff friendly and helpful, and the facilities great. Lovely kitchen and bar, loads of hot water, and a very useful brochure on the local neighbourhood.

great place. clean enough as long as you do not want to eat off the floor. cheap beer in the pub. would recommend to anybody. was in the purple room -- only thing not perfect was one shower for about fifteen people so once in five days had to wait. spent new years eve there. great.

This hostel was great. I stayed in the 'Gypsy' room. The beds were very comfortable with big pillows. There are roll-away lockers under each bed and a reading light near the headboard. The bar and common area downstairs is inexpensive and very social. The decor was great. Breakfast is cheap and there is plenty of quality food. The location is away from all of the sights but they are very easy to get to via tram. I would definitely stay here again.

This hostel made Prague one of the highlights of my Europe backpacking experience. A warm, welcoming and friendly staff with great tourist info and knowledge on where to party. The rooms are cheap and the three-bed ensuite room we got was huge! The dorms are also really spacious with a sink and two bathrooms right outside. The kitchen is a great hang-out area to meet other travellers and grab free hot chocolate/tea/coffee after a late night, and there's also a bar downstairs where a buffet breakfast is served (though compared to meals outside, the breakfast is kinda expensive). Definitely go on a tour with Stephen, the resident tour guide in the hostel. It's about 10 minute tram ride out from town centre, but doesn't detract from the place at all. Totally recommend it!

Absolutely wonderful hostel, hands down the best I have ever stayed in. It was spotless, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the kitchen was so nice! I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay here because it was not centrally located, but that ended up being one of the things that I liked best about it. It's super easy to get into the main town center by public transportation. This hostel has a great laid back feeling to it and proved to be a great place to meet like-minded travelers.

Great experience!!! The place is comfortable. Staff are nice and friendly and the information is ok!!! Location is not central but there are several easy ways to get to the old town and train station in a few minutes!!! Very nice place. I'll be back here next time I'm in Prague!!

This is a great hostel with great rooms! It is also a little bit of distance outside of the city center, and in fact not even on the map they give you! This turned out to be a good thing though. Transportation was easy and all the basic shops were nearby (and with cheaper non-tourist prices).
